12	Making Strides 2010 Walk-A-Thon If you were with us on Saturday 10/22 or Made a Donation to our TBS Team, Nancy and I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You have made a difference. Our TBS Team (both donors and walkers) was astounding. We had over 40 walkers! We raised almost $4000 to find a cure, and we finishished a top 10 team/org in all of Palm Beach. Our team members Nancy Alovis (Co-Captain), and Betty Besner (new TBS member!) raised over $400 each, and TBS Team Member Ginny Kobren came in at the top, raising $750 WOW!! And how about those Shapiro kids, Jessica and Josh, came in with $200 each. All Our TBS Kids Did GREAT! Big Thanks to Cantor Stettner who not only raised money but also helped us get the word out, bringing us Ginny and lots of other walkers. YES TBS Rocks! The positive energy we felt at Mizner Park was priceless, as was every donation, large or small. We're already planing how to do even better next year . Thank You , Thank You...	524

15	Temple Beth Shira 2009 Shofar Factory TBS Religious School at Sandpiper Shores Elementary an amazing event took place. Perfectly timed in the period between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur we held our first Shofar Factory. Rabbi Gansburg the Executive Director of the Living Legacy Chabad of Coconut Creek came to our school and taught all our kids, as well as many adults, all about the meaning behind why we blow a shofar, as well as showing our kids the art of making a shofar. Our kids were engaged and connected. Isn't that a big part of what is great about being involved in a synagogue. Passing our traditions down, getting our kids and our selves excited about being Jewish.	526
