TBS Man & Woman Of The Year Celebration: Now this is what TBS is all about,  we gathered together to celebrate two absolutely amazing leaders in our TBS family, Betty Besner and Steve Sanders. Both Betty and Steve have gone that extra mile time and time again, Betty as membership chairperson is the perfect person for those new to TBS to have as their first contact, she is warm, giving, enthusiastic, and so much more. Stephen Sanders from the first time I met him at one of our very first TBS services has always been there for TBS in every way imaginable. Currently he serves as TBS Brotherhood President but his efforts for TBS and our Community know no bounds. How Blessed is TBS! Mazel Tov To Both Betty and Steve!! My Simchus Torah

This year for the first time I was not going to be at Beth Shira’s Simchas Torah service. I wasn’t happy about this as it is my favorite service but I was going to an event in China for business that I could not pass up. While I knew some about the history of the Jewish community in China and had heard some about my parent’s friend that now lives in Monaco who was brought up in Shanghai. I had no idea of what my experience with this community was going to be.
